Pip And The Pumpkin

Pip And The Pumpkin

Once upon a time, there was a hamster named Pip. He was a very curious and mischievous 'lil hamster and always got into all kinds of trouble.

One day, while Pip was nibbling on some seeds in the garden, he spotted a big, round, orange pumpkin with strange holes cut out of it.

Being the adventurous rascal he is, he naturally climbed inside the pumpkin to investigate this mystery.

When he had thoroughly checked out the interior and deemed it safe, he found he was very hungry after his exploit and began to munch on the delicious fresh pumpkin *insert smacking noises, etc* He ate, and ate, and ate until his tummy was very full, then he decided he'd better start on his way home. He started to squeeze through the holes, but found he was in a very serious predicament...

...he was stuck!! He struggled, and wiggled, until his eyes started to pop out, but he could not get out.

Poor Pip was beside himself with what to do! He tried to climb up the sides of the pumpkin...

...only to topple off and land on his back each time.

Just at the moment Pip was about to give up all hope of escaping, the gardener, who was always very friendly towards animals (even if they so happened to be nibbling his prized vegetables...) came by and chanced to see Pip stuck inside the pumpkin.

He helped Pip out and sat him gently on the ground.

Pip was FREE!!!! O Happy day!

Pip promised himself he would never, ever, in a million years go near another pumpkin. He marched straight home, and didn't emerge from it for a good long while. He had learned his lesson, and wouldn't soon forget it. He had had enough of pumpkins for one day.
THE END

Peter Rabbit... um .. what are you doing here?

You're in the wrong story, boy!

Blessings -
