Carrot Juice

Carrot Juice

What do you do when you find a 5 lb. bag of organic carrots in your refrigerator that need to be used asap? Make carrot juice, of course!

   First, assemble all your accessories.

Chop your carrots, and feed them down the plastic tube.

This container catches the carrots juice as it comes out.

The pulp container (on a side note, I had to tape this container to the machine, as it kept coming off and splattering carrot bits all over me).

Carrot Juice dripping into it's container. Side note: We ended up with aprox. a quart of juice.

Leftover carrot pulp. You end up with a lot more pulp than you do juice.

What do you do with all this pulp? I'll save that for another post. Keep a sharp eye out for it. ; )

Leftover carrot bits and pieces. Shred, or blend these bits and give them to your birds for a good healthy snack, that will make your egg yolks dark orange.

After cleaning up the mess you made in the kitchen, sit back and enjoy your cup of carrot juice.

  1. Carrot juice is pretty good, I love adding in some apple-- it gives it just the right sweetness to combat the bold and sometimes bitter carrot taste! :) Yummy! :)
