A Winter Morning

A Winter Morning

Woke up early this morning to find it was cold and breezy outside. Burrrr!

I had to run to the mailbox to drop off some letters. OK, maybe I didn't run, I drove (had you going there, didn't I?). Carolina went with me, she is my official gate opener, and mail fetcher. Upon arriving at the mailbox, we spotted a Mule deer doe chillin' (literally) on the other side of the fence. She didn't seem to mind us a bit. She'd look at us, then slowly walk off, stand still, turn and stare at us.

The clouds were very pretty this morning (see Carolina putting the letters in the mailbox..)

Can you spot the doe?

Whenever one of the little ones (a.k.a Carolina or Stockton) comes with me, I never have to open a gate, or jump out and get the mail. I get to sit in the pickup...and take pictures. ; )

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods? Is it cold enough for a fire? Stockton started us a fire in the kitchen wood stove, the whole house is nice and toasty. : )
