Early Morning Ramblings

Early Morning Ramblings

Good Morning all!

I've gotten up at 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM the past several days, it gives one time to think, before the business of the day starts. The sun is finally peeping up from behind the trees, the birds are singing (both from inside the house and outside... ) and the dogs are all piled around my feet doing you'll never guess what...yep...sleeping.

About 5:30 this morning I was up making breakfast, both the little dogs had woken up and needed to go outside, out the door they scampered. Since it's been so warm the past several days, Rusty has slept outside. As soon as I opened the door and let both the little dogs out he started barking and growling at something, I popped my head out the door just in time to see him chase off a "white streak"...whatever it was, Rusty chased it off. Whatever kind of critter it was must  of had some sense, I'd high tail it to if a 80 lb bear/lion/dog was chasing me. Yep, I sure would.

Makes me want to put a game camera out to see what kind of critters are lurking around the ranch at nighttime. I always tell people, I'm not afraid of the dark, I'm just afraid of whats in the dark!

The weather forecast says today will be warm and windy. I have quite a few outside projects that need doing, so hopefully I can get some of those acomplished.

I have so many happenings to catch you all up on, but they shall have to keep a little while longer.

I'd better go put Rusty outside (I let him in and fed him breakfast after he chased the "white streak" off), he is trying to dig under the cabinets looking for "rats".

And here comes the sun, pouring in the kitchen window, my cue to start the morning chores.

Blessings -

  2. Hey, sorry for not commenting for such a long time. I've been really busy with school:( You get up around WHAT time? My stars, girl, I get up well, sometimes I like to sleep in a little later than 4:00 am. :) Oooo, when the sun rises is the best! I'm not really afraid of the dark. See, I can walk around in my house at night and I'm not scared. (BTW, I don't really walk around in my house at night. Just if I have to take a trip the the bathroom. I'm not THAT weird to be walking around randomly at night. lols!)

  3. DKT - I'm been saying that for awhile. ; )

Sarah - I will admit that sometimes when my alarm goes off I would much rather turn it on snooze and sleep a couple more hours, but more often than not I am awake before the alarm goes off. For some odd reason I wake up about an hour or so before my alarm goes off and just lay there waiting for the alarm to go off. When I first wake up, it's takes me a little bit to get un-drowsy, but after I am awake I usually get pretty high-per and want to get my day started. When I get up at 5 AM, I usually can't stay awake past 9 or 10. Which is odd, because a couple weeks ago I'd go to bed at 12:00 or past and wake up at 10:00. There I admitted it. But I like waking up earlier SO much better than sleeping in.

Well Sarah, if you have lots of critters that sleep outside, and every time a coyote howls you get nervous and start worrying and double checking in your mind that you locked up everyone, you might get up and take a peep outside to make sure everything is OK. ; ) I can't tell ya how many times Mom and I went outside with a gun and a flashlight to double check on all the animals.

    Blessings -
