Train Station
HA! Fooled ya! You thought this was going to be about real trains didn't ya? Well too bad, it's not.
So I thought I'd give y'all an update on the Peababies. I especially want to mention Prince's train...look how long it's getting!
The weather has warmed up for good (so it would seem, but when you live in west Texas you never know what the weather will do!), so it would seem. I keep hoping that the Peababies will start laying, but alas I've had no such luck, as of yet.
Anytime I ask either of the girls about it they get upset with me and start pouting. Honestly. All I want for you to do is lay some eggs so I can have some more Peababies!! Is that so much to ask? According to Tulsa, it is too much to ask. *sigh*
Prince doesn't seem to be to interested in his ladies at all currently, so I've forsaken the idea of any eggs. At least for awhile. ;)
Until then, they continue to be my little jesters.
They always make Momma laugh!
Note: When photographing peafowl, keep a sharp eye out for prowling peafowl who might get it into their head to fly on top of you...and your camera. This can be very devastating to both you and your camera.
It's hard to believe that Prince and his ladies will be two years old in June!
Goodness how time flys!
It seems only yesterday that they were all tiny, curious peachicks, following me around the house and.....
Tulsa, please stop looking so smug. You're scaring me...
Overall, I do believe I have a beautiful trio of peas.
I think the world would be a better place if more people owned Peas.
Yes, I'm convinced of it.
Everybody could throw out their TVs...
because let's be honest. Who needs a TV when you have peafowl???????
So you hear that people? Get yourself some Peababies of your own. Trust me. You'll thank me for this...later...I hope. ;)

Aww, they're so precious! I wanted to get peafowl to keep the hawks away but my dad wasn't up for it. Prince is just the most handsome little cock I have ever seen! His train is absolutely stunning. ;)

Unfortunately, I've never been able to free range my peafowl due to their incredible flying abilities, and our large array of predators that would love a peababy dinner. : /
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do know of a lady down in south Texas who has probably close to 100 peafowl who roam her property, along with several LGDs. ;) She's never lost one to a predator that I know of.

Beautiful! It would be fun to find a few feathers and use them in crafts.
ReplyDeleteI find feathers in their pen all the time. But he has only dropped a couple colorful ones. When he is fully mature and his train grows, I've thought about listing some on my Etsy shop, for creative people like you to use.
